Dan grew up in central Indiana. At an early age, he developed an interest in small business from his father, who owns and operates a custom food production company. His experiences helping out with the family business have informed his passion for acquiring a small business with NextGen Growth Partners.
Prior to joining NGP, Dan spent his career in operations and general management functions in the Fortune 500. He worked at Amazon, where—after being promoted and having his responsibilities expanded—he most recently managed the medical devices and supplies P&L within the firm’s core retail business. In this role, he led category strategy, negotiated annual terms with suppliers, and delivered on growth and profitability targets. Before Amazon, Dan worked in supply chain management for Target Corporation, where he oversaw the production, quality control, and importation of a selection of their private label portfolio. Dan’s career to date has afforded him numerous formative experiences including P&L management experience, high quality corporate training, and exposure to exemplary company cultures.
Dan received a BA in economics and philosophy with distinction from Indiana University and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management where he majored in finance.
