NextGen Growth Partners, LLC (NGP) today announced Founder and Managing Partner Brian O’Connor has been named to Crain’s Chicago Business 2019 40 Under 40 class.
Since 1989, the Crain’s Chicago Business 40 Under 40 list has honored 1,200 notable Chicagoans who have achieved extraordinary success before the age of 40. Past honorees include Grant Achatz, Oprah Winfrey, Barack Obama, J.B. Pritzker, and NGP Advisory Board members Mark Agnew and Adam Gerchen.

O’Connor founded NGP in 2016. The pioneering private equity firm incubates talented entrepreneurs who acquire, lead and grow businesses across a variety of industries.
O’Connor is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at his alma mater, the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He teaches the Entrepreneurship through Acquisition course, one of the most popular and sought-after classes among MBA students.
Through his work at NGP and Chicago Booth, O’Connor fulfills his greatest passion of mentoring others. As a teacher, he counsels students on major life and business decisions. As Managing Partner of NGP, he oversees all investing activity and supports aspiring entrepreneurs and future business leaders.
