Brian Corbat


Brian spent his High School and College summers working as a caddy, bellboy, carpenter, and cell tower construction worker in Wyoming. These experiences served as the foundation of his work ethic, team-oriented mindset, and desire to one day face the challenges & opportunities associated with operating his own business.

Prior to joining NGP, Brian spent his career in financial services focused on esoteric investment opportunities. Brian was the Co-Managing Partner of Crescent Cove based in San Francisco, while there he focused on special situations investing across the capital structure in growth-oriented private companies and investment partnerships. He previously worked for Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong under the Tactical Opportunities Group, where he was directly involved in the creation and distribution of benchmark structured credit and special situations across Asia ex-Japan.

Brian received his BA in History from Trinity College in Hartford, CT and an MBA from Columbia University.

Brian has lived on three continents but still calls Northwestern Wyoming home, where his parents continue to reside. Outside of work, Brian is an active outdoorsman, he enjoys fishing, hunting, skiing, and kitesurfing.
