Originally from Las Cruces, New Mexico, Chris grew up playing soccer and running track, experiences that sparked a lifelong love of working in teams and pushing limits.
Before joining NextGen Growth Partners, Chris served as a U.S. Navy pilot for 10 years, flying the P-8A Poseidon and T-6B Texan II as both an aircraft commander and instructor pilot. He deployed multiple times to the Western Pacific and led mission crews on worldwide operations, where he was responsible for managing teams, complex sensors, and advanced technology to accomplish critical missions. These experiences taught Chris how to build trust within teams, make critical decisions with limited information, and stay adaptable when the unexpected inevitably happens.
Chris developed his business skill set at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he earned his MBA with a focus on entrepreneurship, strategy, accounting, and behavioral science.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, hanging out with friends, and getting outdoors whenever possible — whether that’s hiking, biking, or just exploring new places.
Chris holds a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and an MBA from Chicago Booth.
