Mike is a Managing Director on NGP’s Investments Team, where he leads industry thesis development and deal origination, and plays a central role in underwriting and transaction execution. He partners closely with our entrepreneur-operators and prospective sellers throughout the pre-acquisition process, helping build trust and navigate thoughtful transitions. After closing, Mike supports value creation efforts across the portfolio in collaboration with the Portfolio Operations Team.
Mike brings nearly 15 years of private equity experience across a variety of business services and manufacturing sectors. Prior to joining NGP, Mike held senior investment team positions at Kinzie Capital Partners and Parallel49 Equity. He served as a board member to several portfolio companies at both firms.
Before attending business school, Mike began his career at Stout in the investment banking group and later joined Arbor Investments, a food and beverage private equity firm, as a member of the investment team.
Mike earned his B.A. in Financial Management and Economics from the University of St. Thomas where he graduated summa cum laude and an M.B.A. with concentrations in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business where he graduated with high honors as a Wallman Scholar.
